General Description:

Dedicated to the cleverest hero in ancient Greek Mythology, Ulysses is Marsovin’s first Gozitan Shiraz, produced entirely from hand picked grapes harvested in family owned vineyards in Gozo. These vineyards are found in the vicinity of the picturesque Xaghra Valley in Gozo, a stone throw away from Calypso’s cave where Ulysses was believed to have lived for 7 years with the nymph Calypso after being shipwrecked on the island.

Yield, Harvest & Vintage Conditions

Hand harvested on 31/08/2005.

The 2005 vintage, similarly to the previous vintage, was characterised by typical Central Mediterranean winter climatic conditions and cool summer temperatures which led to a slow maturation process and late harvesting, giving deep red, well structured, balanced wines.

Tasting Notes:

Produced entirely from hand picked grapes harvested in family owned vineyards in Gozo, this full bodied ruby red wine is very delicate on the palate, with soft tannins and soft fruity aromas reminiscent of raspberries and plums.
